David Spring
Piano and Voice Teacher
I LOVE being a choral educator and church organist/pianist, and love teaching all ages. Nothing is more satisfying than watching a person’s excitement as they move past fears and discover the joy of making beautiful music, alone or with others. The thrill of accomplishment in music is like none other. While I believe in basic structure and the discipline of study for best results, I believe in utilizing music of many genres to attract and keep students’ interest. Learning to read music is important, but so is critical listening, playing by ear, and just having fun! My career has included classroom choral teaching and voice classes, piano teaching, many school musicals, and years of church and community choral directing. I have been the conductor of ChoralSounds Northwest in Burien, and for some 60 community and regional theatre groups including Renton Civic Theatre, Seattle Musical Theatre, and Lyric Opera NW. I also am the music director and organist for Trinity Episcopal Church in Everett. |
