While I believe in basic structure and the discipline of study for best results, I believe in utilizing the music of many genres to attract and keep students' interest. Learning to read music is important, but so is critical listening, playing by ear, and just having fun!

Lars' teaching style puts focus on the student's goals first, so they can learn to play guitar the way they want to play, while also working with them to develop core musicianship skills that will allow them to share in the joy of music with other performers.
