When it comes to teaching, Lars’ first priority is to always have fun. He believes expressing yourself through music should always be an enjoyable and rewarding experience.
Lars has a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Digipen Institute of Technology, where he studied video game and film composition with composers from Mario vs. Donkey Kong, Halo, and The Fairly Odd Parents, just to name a few. He has experience composing, recording, and performing music, as well as creating sound effects and recording voice-over narration.
Lars’ musical taste is nearly boundless and always growing. His favorite genres include Bossa Nova, Ragtime, Disco, J-Pop, and Thrash Metal.
Lars wants to create well-rounded musicians who have the skills to express themselves with their instruments, and tackle whatever musical challenges they set their minds to. He teaches lessons on electric and acoustic guitar, piano, bass, and music theory/composition.
